About Me

I am a research scientist at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, working on reinforcement learning for behavior planning for the application of assisted and automated driving. I submitted my PhD thesis in Computer Science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and I am preparing for my defense. In my PhD studies I worked on computation of appropriate driver glance behavior for distraction warning.

My research interests are in modeling rational behavior and solving hard decision making problems. Here I am investigating techniques from both (inverse) reinforcement learning and (inverse) optimal control. Throughout my PhD I developed a strong affinity towards the application domain of assisted and automated driving as well as human rational decision making.
