About Me

I joined Bosch Center for AI as a research scientist. My main research interests lie on the intersection of robotics and machine learning. My long term vision is to develop robotic applictions that can help humans in everyday life, such as, in factory workshops, or in our homes. One key aspect my research focuses on is how robots can aquire unique and dexterous skills in the matter of minutes autonomously and in collaboration with human partners. This involves exploiting model priors of the task and the robot itself, using sensory data to speed up learning and relying on high level human feedback to improve the robot skill.

About Me

With a goal that AI based algorithms should be on the streets and not just on drawing boards, my current work concentrates on developing and applying AI-based methods to optimize a vehicle's exhaust emissions in real-driving conditions. I am the domain expert for automotive powertrain in our research group. The idea to develop technologies and solutions that help us all to achieve a sustainable life is what motivates me. Prior to my current job, I worked with ECU calibration and function development after my graduation in automotive engineering from TU Stuttgart.

My research interests focus on neural networks.
