AI CON 2018

The conference brings together leaders of AI in academic and corporate research. AI CON invites high quality abstracts addressing key research issues in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.


AI CON 2018, an engagement event, will be held by the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence in cooperation with Cyber Valley on the November 19th at the Bosch corporate research center in Renningen. Our aim is to bring together leaders of AI in academic and corporate community to exchange ideas and foster discussions.

The conference program features interesting keynotes from Bosch, Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Carnegie Mellon University, Technion, and many more. Besides, poster sessions on the latest AI research and networking event are to follow.

Attendance to the conference is free and invite-only.

AI CON 2018 invites high-quality abstracts with travel grant plus full access to the event. Work that is published or currently review is welcome.

    Bernhard Schölkopf

    from Tübingen, Germany
    • Bernhard Schölkopf is an honorary Professor in Berlin and Tübingen as well as the director of the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems since 2011.
    • His research interests are in machine learning and inference from empirical data. Bernhard Schölkopf received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize in 2018.

    • Daniel Soudry is an Assistant Professor & Taub Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technion.
    • His research interests are in the areas of machine learning and theoretical neuroscience.

    Eric Hilgendorf

    from Würzburg, Germany
    • Eric Hilgendorf is a lawyer and legal philosopher. He holds inter alia the Chair of Criminal Law at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg.
    • His work focuses on the legal and ethical aspects of autonomous driving with regard to responsibilities.

    • Tom Wilson has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, the last 8 years in Advanced Driver Assistance and Autonomous Vehicles.
    • At Graphcore, he is VP Automotive driving the automotive business for Graphcore’s unique AI processing architecture.
