About Me
I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Chief Scientist of AI Research at BCAI in Pittsburgh. My research focuses on robust machine learning: how do we build machine learning systems that we can truly trust and rely on in complex and novel environments? Our work in this area spans both theoretical and empirical approaches, from building deep classifiers that are provably robust to (certain classes of) adversarial attacks, to demonstrating new attacks on deep learning methods in phyiscal environments.
