About Me

I joined Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence as a Research Scientist in 2018. Before joining BCAI, I was the team leader of the "Learning and Intereaction group" at the deparment of advanced robotics of the italian Institute of Technology (IIT), where I previously held a postdoctoral position. I obtained a BSc. on Mechatronics Engineering from the "Nueva Granada" University in Bogota, Colombia, a MSc. on Automatic Control and Robotics and a PhD. on Robotics and AI from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. I carried out my PhD research at the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics (IRI). My research aims at endowing robots with learning capabilities to develop sophisticated motion skills and collaborative behaviors. To do so, I investigate imitation and reinforcement learning techniques that exploit multimodal sensory data and interactions with humans and the environment.

My Research Fields

  • Robot Learning (Imitation and Reinforcement Learning)
  • Human-Robot Collaboration
  • Robotic Manipulation
